We help small businesses
solve real problems

Not "make me a website." We work with founders, shop owners, and small teams — usually 1 to 15 people — who have a real problem they can describe in plain language. We make small websites, small brands, and the quiet machinery behind them.

Most jobs start with a long conversation about what's slow, manual, or confusing — orders coming from five places, a Google Sheet that everyone's afraid of, a customer flow held together with tape. Then a small thing gets built. Then another. A few months later, you wonder how you ever ran it the old way.

Coffee roastery · 1 founder, 2 helpers
ShopifyAutomation

We rebuilt the order pipeline so weekends stopped leaking.

The problem

Sasha was running a small roastery from a garage. Orders came from Instagram DMs, the website, and a paper notebook. Every Monday he found 2–3 orders he'd missed.

What we built

We put one inbox in Notion. Shopify, the form, and Instagram all dump into it. Telegram pings him when something new lands. A simple status board so his packers know what to do.

−68%
manual entry per week

Zero missed orders since launch. Sasha hired a packer instead of a virtual assistant.

AI agentTelegram

A scheduling agent that handles the boring half of her job.

The problem

A maths tutor was spending 90 minutes a day rescheduling lessons over Telegram. Parents would message, she'd dig through her calendar, type a reply. Repeat 30 times.

What we built

We built a small AI agent on Telegram that knows her calendar, her rates, and her cancellation rules. It books, reschedules, and sends reminders. She gets a daily summary.

85%
of messages handled by the bot

She got an hour and a half a day back. Took on five more students without burning out.

DashboardIntegrations

One screen with the five numbers that matter.

The problem

The owner was checking three POS dashboards, a Google Sheet, and a delivery app every morning. Took 40 minutes. He still wasn't sure which location was bleeding money.

What we built

We built a single dashboard pulling from POS, deliveries, and the supplier inventory sheet. Updated every hour. One page, five numbers, color-coded.

5 min
morning standup, down from 40

He spotted a margin issue at one location in week two and fixed it in week three.

Studio Otje is a one-person studio. The "we" is mostly honest — there's a photographer here, a developer there, an illustrator when a project asks for it — but day to day, it's one person with a notebook and a fast laptop.

The studio sits at a strange seam: half graphic, half operational. We make websites and small identities, and we also fix the parts of a business no one wants to look at — the spreadsheet that everyone's afraid of, the inbox that nobody owns, the quote that takes four hours to write. We took on both because, in our experience, neither holds up alone.

We work slowly on purpose. One project at a time, two or three projects a quarter. If we're a fit, we'll tell you. If we're not, we'll say who is.
